Recently, the "Red Apple" UAV being developed by Türkiye Baika Company completed the aerodynamic system identification test. This test is of great significance to the development process of the machine. During testing, the prototype of the "Red Apple" unmanned aerial vehicle PT3 performed a series of flight operations aimed at measuring aerodynamic characteristics. Engineers analyze the aircraft's control response at different speeds and altitudes to obtain aerodynamic data. The "Red Apple" unmanned aerial vehicle project was launched in 2021 and completed its maiden flight in December 2022. Afterwards, Baikal Company made a series of improvements to it. The PT3 participating in this test is equipped with a new engine, an afterburner, and a flight speed close to the speed of sound. The aircraft structure has also been adjusted to reduce weight and improve durability to a certain extent. The aviation electronic equipment has been upgraded and equipped with active electronic scanning array radar, enhancing situational awareness and target tracking capabilities. With the advancement of the "Red Apple" unmanned aerial vehicle project, its technological maturity is approaching. If the aircraft is put into use in the future, it will have an impact on Türkiye's air operations. (New Society)
