The first batch of Yellow River Water Conservancy Heritage List includes 20 water conservancy heritage sites, including Jiayingguan, Daicunba, Wulongkou Ancient Water Conservancy Facilities, People's Victory Canal Head, Kaifeng Town River Iron Rhinoceros, Lingongdi, Sanmenxia Water Conservancy Hub Project, Taihang Embankment (Henan section), Dongbatou Dangerous Works, Gaocun Dangerous Works, Yingtang Dangerous Works, Luokou Dangerous Works, Nantan Dangerous Works, Dayuzhang Irrigation Area Yellow River Diversion Sluice, Shiwa Flood Diversion Sluice, Sanmenxia Hydrological Station, Huayuankou Wenzhan Station, Luokou Hydrological Station, Yuanyang Brick Dam Ruins, and the former site of Yinshan Station on the Yellow River Dongyin Railway (Yellow River Dongyin Railway Cultural Exhibition Hall). The first batch of Yellow River water conservancy heritage announced mainly consists of engineering water conservancy heritage, covering various types such as ancient embankments, ancient dangerous works, ancient gates and dams and hub projects, irrigation projects, culvert and sluice projects, hydrological stations, and people's Yellow River control memorial sites. The construction period spans from the Qin and Han dynasties to the socialist revolution and construction period. As important witnesses to the development and management of the mother river by the people on both sides of the Yellow River for thousands of years, the 20 water conservancy heritage sites have significant historical, technological, ecological, cultural, and social values, reflecting the changes in Yellow River management concepts, river engineering technologies, and engineering construction in different historical periods, and demonstrating the spirit of diligence, bravery, and self-improvement of the Chinese nation. In order to promote the management and protection of Yellow River water conservancy heritage with high quality, the Yellow River Water Resources Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources has formulated and issued the "Measures for Excavation and Sorting of Yellow River Water Conservancy Heritage (Trial)", and carried out the first batch of Yellow River water conservancy heritage investigation, statistics, demonstration and review work based on this.
