On February 26th, the comprehensive extreme condition experimental device passed the national acceptance, marking that China has built an internationally advanced user experimental device that combines extreme conditions such as low temperature, ultra-high voltage, strong magnetic field, and ultrafast optical field. The device is composed of physical property characterization platform, quantum control platform, ultrafast dynamics characterization platform, high temperature and high pressure mass material research platform, and technical support platform that can meet the development, upgrading, maintenance and operation of the above platforms. It is a national "12th Five Year" major science and technology infrastructure project jointly constructed by the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jilin University, which can greatly enhance China's comprehensive strength in basic research and applied basic research in material science and related fields.
