What should I do if I suddenly fall ill during the mission? Nearly a hundred hospitals provide nearby services for officers and soldiers

Recently, a certain brigade of the Eastern Theater Command Army conducted field training, and a company cadre suddenly felt unwell. Due to the distance between the task location and the system hospital, the leader of the brigade analyzed the situation comprehensively and assigned a dedicated person to send it to a local hospital nearby. After timely diagnosis and treatment by the medical staff of the hospital, this cadre finally turned danger into safety. In a critical moment, this cadre was quickly sent to the hospital and received efficient treatment, which was inseparable from the emergency support mechanism established by the relevant departments stationed in coordination with the Army Support Department of the theater The leader of the brigade told me that the distribution points of the military base are many, long, and wide, and many units are far away from the urban area. When officers and soldiers are stationed in the field for training or carrying out tasks outside, it is inconvenient to go to the system hospital for treatment due to sudden illnesses, especially when there are urgent and serious situations, which can easily delay the timing of treatment. To this end, based on in-depth research, the Army Support Department of the Eastern Theater Command has repeatedly communicated and coordinated with relevant departments in the stationed area to establish emergency response mechanisms for critical illness and disease prevention and control on demand, expanded the medical treatment system for military patients, gradually established a three-dimensional medical channel, and ensured that grassroots officers and soldiers can receive timely treatment in case of sudden critical illness. In the work, the Army Support Department of the theater has sent personnel to visit and discuss relevant units in the stationed area multiple times, focusing on researching and discussing specific matters such as convenient medical treatment for mission officers and soldiers nearby, emergency and severe treatment, and working with nearly a hundred local hospitals to open up a "green channel" for military emergency treatment, and signing the "Military Local Medical and Health Service Support Cooperation Framework Agreement". Relevant cities (counties, districts) shall designate dedicated personnel to serve as "emergency treatment and disease prevention and control liaison officers" in their respective support areas based on administrative divisions. In case of emergencies, they shall be responsible for contacting, coordinating, and handling relevant matters to ensure smooth channels for military civilian medical and health support cooperation and the implementation of measures. According to the agreement, when the troops go out to carry out tasks, participate in stationed training or rotation training, they can contact the corresponding liaison officer in the support area one week before the task begins, and submit information such as support requirements; Coordinate with specific medical institutions, proactively grasp the evacuation routes for injured and sick patients in case of emergencies, familiarize oneself with the hospital campus environment, understand the layout of important departments such as emergency centers and trauma surgery, and ensure smooth and efficient emergency support. Once, during a long-distance mobile training in a certain army brigade, a soldier was bitten by poisonous ants at night, resulting in symptoms such as swelling of the throat and difficulty breathing. According to the emergency support process agreed upon in advance, the health department of the brigade immediately contacted the emergency department of a county hospital nearby. Upon receiving the situation report, the hospital quickly prepared for treatment and immediately launched first aid after the ambulance transported the soldier. The entire process was efficient and smooth. It is understood that according to the framework agreement signed between the military and civilian areas, military officers and soldiers go to the stationed hospital for medical treatment, and the relevant expenses are settled by the military health department in accordance with the spirit of documents such as the "Interim Provisions on Medical Treatment Guarantee for Soldiers and Military Personnel". At present, this mechanism has provided support for hundreds of officers and soldiers, effectively improving the level of medical and health care support for grassroots troops. After completing emergency support tasks, we also focus on conducting discussions and exchanges with local hospital medical staff to promote the 'two-way training' of military and civilian medical technical talents A leader from the Army Support Department of the theater said that they regularly organize discussions and analyses between military and civilian medical personnel based on emergency support cases, share experiences and insights, and propose improvement suggestions and mechanisms around identified shortcomings; Relying on advantageous disciplines to carry out mentoring, more than 300 battalion health workers and medical backbones have been selected to study and train at local medical institutions, helping grassroots units enhance their ability to provide independent support.
