The statistics department should adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully and accurately implement the new development concept, firmly hold the lifeline of statistical data quality, solidly carry out various key tasks, and provide high-quality statistical services for the high-quality completion of the goals and tasks of the 14th Five Year Plan and the realization of a good start to the 15th Five Year Plan. The meeting proposed to continuously optimize and improve statistical systems and methods, improve statistical classification standards, accelerate the promotion of statistics in the areas where business activities occur, establish and improve statistical systems in digital economy, online retail, grain and large food, rural revitalization, high-quality urban development, culture, population employment and other fields. We need to further deepen the reform of statistical accounting, improve the accounting of gross domestic product, improve the method of compiling the national balance sheet, carefully prepare input-output and supply and use tables, and accelerate the reform of statistical accounting in key areas. We will resolutely strengthen the construction of statistical rule of law, take multiple measures to prevent and control statistical fraud, solidly carry out statistical legislation and legal education, and strengthen the coordination between statistical supervision and other types of supervision. Solidly organize and carry out census investigations, deeply develop and utilize the results of the fifth national economic census, conscientiously prepare for the fourth national agricultural census, and organize and implement various routine statistical investigations. In addition, the meeting called for strengthening statistical monitoring, analysis, and interpretation, enhancing statistical monitoring in areas such as new quality productivity, carbon emissions, consumption and investment, and social livelihood, optimizing routine statistical data release, strengthening interpretation of economic hotspots and public concerns, and shaping positive social expectations.
