On February 10th, Pingxiang East Station, the first southern border high-speed railway station in Chongzuo City, Guangxi, celebrated its full resumption of work after the New Year. At the construction site, the construction personnel of China Railway Fourth Bureau each performed their duties, some carried out the erection of the grid frame, some carried out secondary structural masonry, and some carried out steel bar binding operations, preparing for the lifting of the steel structure on the station building surface. Pingxiang East Station will complete its topping out before the end of February this year. Pingxiang East Station is the terminal station of the Nanning Pingxiang high-speed railway project. It is the largest newly-built station on the Chongzuo Pingxiang section of the Nanping high-speed railway, with a station area of 8000 square meters and a total of 5 tracks. The highest gathering capacity is 1000 people. Pingxiang East Station reserves 6000 square meters of international station space in the future. The eaves of Pingxiang East Station have been extracted from the multi story building form of Friendship Pass, which not only expresses the traditional architectural characteristics, but also highlights the momentum of the station building as a border area. The Chongping section of the Nanping high-speed railway is expected to open this year. (New Society)
