Guangzhou Border Inspection Station guarantees nearly 390000 people to enter and exit the country

During the Spring Festival holiday in 2025, the Guangzhou Exit Entry Border Inspection Station ensured the entry and exit of 388000 Chinese and foreign personnel, with an average of 49000 people per day. Among them, the highest daily passenger flow occurred on February 2nd (the fifth day of the first lunar month), reaching 57000 people. The total passenger flow increased by 21.2% compared to the same period of the Spring Festival in 2024. According to the Guangzhou Border Inspection Station, with the further release of China's visa free policy dividends and the continuous growth of international passenger routes, more and more foreign tourists are coming to China for travel. According to statistics, during the Spring Festival holiday, the Guangzhou Border Inspection Station has inspected more than 29000 foreign inbound personnel, a year-on-year increase of 35.2%. From the perspective of outbound direction, more than 200000 outbound personnel have been inspected during the Spring Festival period, and cross-border short distance travel remains the preferred destination for mainland residents. Among them, about 50% of mainland residents choose Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and Australia as their outbound travel destinations. In response to the continued high-level operation of inbound and outbound personnel at ports in the near future, the Guangzhou Border Inspection Station has made unified arrangements in accordance with the requirements of the National Immigration Administration, opening up sufficient and full verification channels in advance to provide warm services for elderly people in need of special care, passengers with limited mobility, and "unaccompanied children" traveling; At the same time, a dedicated 24-hour temporary entry permit issuance area will be set up at the border inspection duty site, equipped with comfortable seats for passengers to rest and wait for inspection, to enhance the clearance experience of passengers and ensure the safe and efficient clearance of inbound and outbound passengers.
