Suva News: Fiji Post and Fiji Chinese Cultural Center jointly issued Chinese Lunar Year of the Snake zodiac stamps on the 25th to celebrate the Spring Festival. A set of four stamps for the Year of the Snake zodiac, designed by Chinese designer Zhong Feng, inspired by a bamboo box with a coiled cobra pattern embedded in a museum collection in Shaanxi. At the stamp issuing ceremony, Fiji's Deputy Prime Minister Prasad and Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian jointly stamped and signed the first day cover. Prasad said in his speech that snakes symbolize wisdom, resilience, and change, and he hopes that this spirit can inspire greater progress in the relationship between Fiji and China. Zhou Jian said that this Year of the Snake will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji.
