Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met in Beijing on January 13 with Maulen Ashimbaev, Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan.

Wang Huning said that China and Kazakhstan have always adhered to the principles of mutual respect, good-neighborliness and friendship, standing together through thick and thin and win-win cooperation. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Tokayev, China-Kazakhstan relations have entered the "fast lane" and cooperation in various fields has been "accelerated". China is willing to work with Kazakhstan, under the guidance of the consensus reached by the two heads of state, to promote China-Kazakhstan relations to a new level in the new year. The National Committee of the CPPCC is willing to strengthen exchanges and interactions with relevant institutions in Kazakhstan to better serve the construction of their respective countries and the development of bilateral relations.

Ashimbaev said that Kazakhstan highly recognizes the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind. The Senate of Kazakhstan is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the National Committee of the CPPCC, jointly promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, and make positive contributions to promoting the development of bilateral relations.
