Recently, flocks of Oriental white storks have gone south to winter, passing through the Lixiahe National Wetland Park in Xinghua, Jiangsu. They inhabit and forage in shallow waters, forming a harmonious ecological picture. The Oriental White Stork is a national first-class protected animal and is known as the "giant panda of the bird kingdom". (New Society)
