The 37th joint patrol of the Beibu Gulf between China and Vietnam was successfully completed on the 4th. This joint patrol lasted for 2 days and had a total range of over 200 nautical miles. China and Vietnam sent a total of 4 naval vessels to participate, with the Chinese task force consisting of the Guangyuan and Tongling naval vessels. At around 8:00 on the 3rd, the naval formations of China and Vietnam completed their troop assembly in the designated sea area, organized communication waves and exchanged welcome speeches, and then entered the Beibu Gulf patrol line in a single column formation to carry out joint patrols. During the joint patrol period, the naval fleets of both sides strengthened information communication and data sharing, and occasionally reported to each other on the hydrological and meteorological conditions, sea and air environment, and heading and speed of the sea area. By changing the command relationship, the joint patrol fleet was alternately commanded in stages to improve the coordination and cooperation ability of both sides. On the 4th, the naval formations of both sides arrived at the end of the patrol line in the Beibu Gulf. The ships of both sides formed a double column and advanced side by side. The commanders greeted each other through very high frequency, and the officers and soldiers lined up on the deck to wave goodbye. The joint patrol was successfully completed. This joint patrol is the first joint patrol carried out by the navies of China and Vietnam after the release of the "Joint Statement between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Further Strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Promoting the Construction of a Community of Shared Future between China and Vietnam" and the "Joint Statement between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam". It has important and practical significance for further strengthening and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Vietnam, deepening mutual trust and cooperation between the two militaries, enhancing the joint ability of the navies of the two countries to respond to maritime emergencies and maintain maritime security and stability.
