Recently, the first dual support themed demonstration street jointly built by the Veterans Affairs Bureau of Leshan City, Sichuan Province and the Leshan City Military Retired Cadres Rest Center in the central urban area of Leshan City has officially opened to the public. Before the completion of the Double Support Theme Demonstration Street, we conducted extensive research and argumentation work in conjunction with the Military Sub district, the Municipal Bureau of Veterans Affairs, the Party History and Local Chronicles Research Office of the Municipal Party Committee, and other departments Zhong Xiao, Deputy Director of the Retired Military Cadres Rest and Rehabilitation Center in Leshan City, introduced that they will start planning and designing a demonstration street in the second half of 2023. Based on the exterior walls of the military cadres' center, a demonstration street will be built with a total length of more than 150 meters, aiming to create a classroom for popularizing national defense knowledge and an important battlefield for promoting dual support work in the city. Along the demonstration street, one can see lightboxes, exhibition boards, and other materials set up on the outer wall, divided into six sections: "Classic Red Stories," "Contemporary Military Strategists in Sichuan," and "Revolutionary Martyrs of Sichuan." These sections contain graphic and textual content such as the stories of military and civilian unity and struggle in Leshan City, the historical evolution of the dual support work, and its distinctive features. It is reported that since the opening of the demonstration street, it has attracted a large number of people to visit and become a "popular check-in spot" in the local area.
