Promoting the Blue Carbon Action and Promoting High Quality Development of the Yellow River Delta

At present, the Yellow River Delta is facing problems such as soil salinization, eutrophication of the nearshore waters at the's estuary, difficulties in carbon emission reduction at the Shengli Oilfield, and a lack of ecological transformation of marine-related industries. In order to implement strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, it is necessary to seek new development paths based on the current development status of the Yellow River. The Blue Carbon Initiative aims to develop and protect the blue carbon resources of the Yellow River Delta, cultivate coastal ecological products that help to sequester carbon increase carbon sinks, carry out carbon sink transactions, and promote the development of the blue carbon industry. The author believes that it is timely to improve relevant systems and the green and low-carbon development of the Yellow River Delta.
