The Chinese Navy's "Peace Ark" hospital ship, which is carrying out the "Harmony Mission-2024" mission, departed from the port of Cotonou on the 24th and successfully completed its first visit to Benin. During the 7-day visit, the "Peace Ark" hospital ship successfully performed 137 surgeries, treated a total of 8122 people, and conducted 3297 auxiliary examinations and tests, setting a record for the highest single station diagnosis and treatment volume since this mission. In addition to receiving patients on the main platform, the hospital ship also dispatched medical teams to conduct patrols at local youth centers and universities. The mission officers and soldiers also held cultural friendship activities with the Confucius Institute of Abomey Karawi University and a friendly football match with the Benin Navy officers and soldiers, further deepening exchanges and enhancing mutual trust between the two sides. The first visit of the hospital ship "Peace Ark" was highly valued by the government of Benin, and several military and political officials boarded the ship to participate in related activities. When Vice President Tarata of Benin boarded the ship for a visit, he praised the medical staff for their contributions to the health and well-being of the people of Benin.
