The first HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Study in China Exchange Conference in Laos was held on the 12th at the Confucius Institute of the National University of Laos. More than 900 representatives from 19 well-known Chinese universities and teachers and students from the Confucius Institute of the National University of Laos participated in the event. This event is hosted by Hankou International and organized by the Confucius Institute at the National University of Laos. At the exchange meeting, representatives from participating universities provided students with detailed information on the school's situation, major offerings, scholarship applications, admission requirements, career development, and other matters related to studying abroad and employment. Many students expressed their intention to study abroad to their desired universities. In his speech, the representative of Hankou International stated that this is the first time that the HSK Study Abroad China Exchange Conference has been held in Laos, aiming to build an effective platform for education and language and cultural exchanges between China and Laos, provide more opportunities for Laotian Chinese learners to learn Chinese well and study in China, and build a bridge for good cooperation between China and Laos. Zhang Suogeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Overseas Education at Nanjing University, speaking on behalf of Chinese universities, stated that deepening educational cooperation and promoting cultural exchanges are the common responsibilities of universities in China and Laos. He hopes that in the future, China and Laos will jointly explore the space and effective path of educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation. He looks forward to and welcomes more Laotian students to study in China, grow into ambassadors of China Laos exchanges, and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Laos. In his speech, Luo Ming, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the National University of Laos, stated that this exchange meeting will further stimulate the enthusiasm of Laotian students to study in China, and play a positive role in promoting the two-way exchange of language, culture, and education between China and Laos.
