In 2004, the China Arab States Cooperation Forum was established to strengthen the relationship between China and Arab countries. In 2014, at the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China Arab Cooperation, Chinese leaders proposed to build a community of shared interests and a community of shared future between China and Arab countries.
