In the report, President Lai analyzed the current development status of the sand and gravel industry. He stated that currently, the domestic real estate market is in a period of adjustment, and it is predicted that the future will be mainly based on the model of "digesting stock+optimizing increment". With the slowdown in infrastructure growth and the imminent trend of oversupply in the industry, sand and gravel enterprises should accelerate the search for a way to "survive". He also listed multiple measures such as technology empowerment to ensure safety production, strengthening cost control and process optimization, accelerating the process of digitization and industrial innovation, and seizing opportunities to layout in the international market, which have put forward fair suggestions for Guangdong's sand and gravel industry to achieve high-quality development. Wang Lingding, former Director of the First Division of the State Administration of Work Safety, member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association, delivered an industry report titled "Several Thoughts on Developing New Quality Safety Productivity" at the annual meeting. At the meeting, Wang Lingding gave a detailed introduction to the historic changes in the field of safety production. He pointed out that the improvement of productivity level plays an essential role in reducing safety accidents. How to improve the level of safety production through technological innovation, mechanization, automation, informatization and other means is an important component of promoting digitalization and innovation in the sand and gravel industry for sand and gravel enterprises, and also a key driving force for the high-quality development of the sand and gravel industry. Researcher at the Natural Resources Consulting and Research Center, President of the Land and Resources Branch of the China Association for Science and Technology, and former Director of the Geological Environment Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources, Guan Fengjun, shared the industry report "New Quality Productivity Promotes the High Quality Development of the Sand and Gravel Industry". Guan Fengjun believes that now is a rare opportunity for the sand and gravel industry to move towards high-quality development. Enterprises in the sand and gravel industry should seize this opportunity, closely follow the guidance of the idea of "developing new quality productivity", and start from the four aspects of "technical methods, process equipment, standard specifications, and management systems" to comprehensively promote the management and innovation of the industry and enterprises. At the annual meeting, 122 member companies signed the "Guangdong Province Sand and Gravel Industry Self Discipline Initiative". This proposal is aimed at promoting the transformation and upgrading of the sand and gravel industry towards standardization, digitization, and greening by members.
