Li Jiachao mentioned that the SAR government fully supports the development of exhibition sports, and in the 2024/2025 fiscal year, the budget allocated to promoting the development of sports for people with disabilities exceeded HKD 130 million, an increase of more than 40% compared to five years ago. In addition, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau has collaborated with the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee of China to launch a pilot program for employment and education of disabled athletes, assisting them in learning the skills and knowledge necessary for their post retirement transformation and development.
