Li Qiang stated that Fiji is the first Pacific island nation to establish diplomatic relations with China, and China has always regarded Fiji as one of the most important partners in the South Pacific region. China has always firmly supported the Fijian people to take the path of development of their own choice. China is willing to take the opportunity of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year to implement the consensus of the leaders of the two countries, continue to be a true friend of mutual trust and support, strengthen high-level and all level exchanges, promote the healthy and stable development of China Fiji comprehensive strategic partnership, and better benefit the people of the two countries.

Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to work together with Fiji to promote pragmatic cooperation between the two countries to a new level. The two sides should further give play to their complementary advantages, deepen cooperation in infrastructure, agriculture and fishery, light industry, education, tourism, poverty reduction and other fields under the framework of high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", and better promote common development. China is willing to import more high-quality products from Fiji and support Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Fiji. China and Fiji are both members of the "Global South". China appreciates Fiji's vision of a "Sea of Peace" and supports Pacific island countries in implementing the "Blue Pacific 2050 Strategy". China is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Fiji and other island countries, actively implement global development initiatives, global security initiatives, and global civilization initiatives, and jointly advocate for an equal and orderly world multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization.

Fiji always regards China as a reliable partner, firmly adheres to the one China principle, supports the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" and the global development initiative and other important initiatives, and is willing to further deepen cooperation with China in such fields as economy and trade, infrastructure, agriculture and fishery, tourism, connectivity, and open up new broad prospects for the Fiji China partnership. The vision of the "Sea of Peace" is consistent with the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence advocated by China, and the goal is the same. Fiji is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China, promote cooperation between Pacific island countries and China, and achieve the "Blue Pacific 2050 Strategy".

After the meeting, the two prime ministers witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents, including trade and infrastructure construction.

Before the meeting, Li Qiang held a welcome ceremony for Lanbuka in the North Hall of the Great Hall of the People.
