Recently, the reporter visited the China Uzbekistan Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park located in the SCO Agricultural Base in Syr Darya Oblast, Uzbekistan. With the further development of bilateral relations between China and Ukraine, the agricultural sector is becoming a new opportunity and growth point for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. This is the entrance of the China Uzbekistan Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park, photographed on July 28th at the SCO Agricultural Base in Syr Darya Oblast, Uzbekistan. The park was jointly established by China Yangling Modern Agriculture International Cooperation Co., Ltd. and Uzbekistan Pengsheng Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd. in 2021, and officially unveiled and put into operation in October of the same year. Chen Bing, Deputy General Manager of Yangling Modern Agriculture International Cooperation Co., Ltd., stated that the park can promote the overseas incubation of agricultural projects, promote the "going out" of new varieties, new technologies, agricultural machinery and equipment, agricultural materials and tools in China, and the "flow back" of products from overseas parks. It also helps to develop cross-border planting and build a technology demonstration, trade and capacity cooperation service platform for domestic agricultural enterprises. It is reported that the China Uzbekistan Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park covers an area of 3500 acres, and currently has 108 acres of modern facility agricultural greenhouses, 1000 acres of drip irrigation grape demonstration gardens, and 1260 acres of new variety experimental demonstration gardens. In addition to planting various crops, it is also committed to promoting water-saving irrigation and other planting technologies. Uzbekov is a cotton farmer in the park who has been engaged in cotton cultivation for many years. He told reporters, "I am now using drip irrigation technology to irrigate cotton, so that the water can directly reach the roots of the cotton, saving not only time but also water and manpower. After coming to work in the park, my income has doubled." Qiao Wen, the head of the Uzbekistan subsidiary of Yangling Modern Agriculture International Cooperation Co., Ltd., introduced that the China Uzbekistan Modern Agriculture Technology Demonstration Park has also introduced high-quality seedlings from China for trial planting, and promoted planting according to local climate and soil natural conditions. Recently, 6000 high-quality green rootstock apple seedlings from Shaanxi Province have successfully arrived at the park and completed planting. On July 28th, in the Syr Darya Oblast of Uzbekistan, fruit farmer Shakalbekov was inspecting green rootstock apple seedlings. Xinhua News Agency reported that 29 year old fruit farmer Shakalbekov from the park told reporters that Uzbekistan is an important apple producing country in Central Asia with suitable climate and soil conditions. However, due to technological and variety limitations, it is difficult to increase local apple production. The quality of apple seedlings exported from China this time is very good. We planted a total of 6000 apple trees from 11 high-quality varieties. In the future, we plan to expand the planting area and hire more people. The orchard brings new job opportunities and also increases income. "In December 2022, the China (Shaanxi) Commodity Trading Center, an agricultural base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, was completed and put into use in Tashkent. The agricultural products in the park will be sold through this trading center, forming a production and sales chain in Wudang. Chen Bing said that currently, the trading center has gathered over a hundred Shaanxi specialty products, including agricultural machinery and equipment, irrigation equipment, northern Shaanxi millet, and southern Shaanxi tea. The center will serve as an important platform for promoting exchanges between China and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, facilitating deep integration of Chinese goods and markets with Central Asian countries. Shakalbekov said, "I am delighted to collaborate with my Chinese colleagues. I can learn new knowledge and technologies. Now, my life is getting better and better
