The Major Sports Events Committee has awarded the "M" brand recognition to three major international sports events held in August, namely the "Bank of China Life Cup: Kitchee vs. Madrid Sports Club" (August 7), the "2024 World Stick Tennis Women's U20 Championship" (August 15-24), and the "2024 12th Yao Foundation Charity Tournament" (August 20). The chairman of the committee, Wu Shouji, stated today (August 6) that the above three events, like other "M" brand events, can successfully host these top-level international sports events, which will help enhance Hong Kong's position as the capital of international sports events, showcase Hong Kong's vitality, and bring diverse experiences to citizens and tourists. Wu Shouji said, "Hong Kong achieved historic success in the 2024 Paris Olympics, igniting a city wide sports craze. The three new 'M' brand events will surely present exciting live experiences for the audience, promote the development of Hong Kong's sports industry, and further enhance Hong Kong's position and reputation in the global sports industry The "M" brand plan aims to encourage and assist local sports associations, private and non-governmental organizations in organizing more large-scale international sports events, and to support and sustain these events.
