On the evening of July 26th local time, at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics in Paris, France, the Chinese sports delegation made an appearance at Trocad é ro Square. In this Olympic Games, the Chinese sports delegation will send a team led by 42 Olympic champions to participate in 30 major events, 42 sub events, and 236 sub events. This Olympic Games is the first modern Olympic Games to hold an opening ceremony in an open urban space. About 6800 athletes from 205 delegations boarded 85 ships and sailed westward for about 6 kilometers from the Austerlitz Bridge, passing through iconic buildings such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre Museum, and Place de la Concorde, before arriving at the Trocad é ro Square across the Eiffel Tower to participate in the celebration ceremony.
