So far, the total number of World Heritage sites in China has reached 59. The "Beijing Central Axis" runs through the north and south of the old city of Beijing. It was first built in the 13th century and formed in the 16th century. After continuous evolution and development, it has become the longest urban axis in the world, with a total length of 7.8 kilometers today. From the Bell and Drum Tower in the north to the Yongding Gate at the southern end, the "spine of the ancient capital" has a long cultural heritage. Let's enjoy the landscape rhythm and magnificent order along the central axis of Beijing together! (New Society)
