On July 11, 2024, at Haikou Railway Station, the first batch of mobile energy storage power stations were put into use on Hainan Railway's cross sea trains, which is the first of its kind in the country. It is reported that the mobile energy storage power station has a designed capacity of 645kWh and an output power of 400kW, which is equivalent to installing a "large power bank" for cross sea trains. This allows the train to maintain air conditioning operation even without traditional power sources such as locomotives or station power supply equipment, reducing the temperature of the train compartment from the highest 40 ℃ in the past to around 26 ℃ now during disassembly operations, greatly alleviating the problem of high compartment temperature.
