On July 11th, the No. 0 block of the cross Shankun Expressway (98+180+98) m V-brace continuous beam on piers 496-499 of the Chaoshan Station to Chaoshan Airport super bridge of the Guangdong East Intercity Railway, invested and constructed by Guangdong Railway Investment Group and constructed by China Railway Fourth Bureau, began pouring, marking the official start of pouring the largest V-brace continuous beam in Asia for the Guangdong East Intercity Railway, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the bridge. As a controlling project for the entire Guangdong East Intercity Railway, the Chaoji Extra Large Bridge has a total length of 6116.65 meters and spans the G78 section of the Shankun Expressway with a (98+180+98) m V-shaped continuous beam. The continuous beam has a total length of 376 meters and a bridge deck width of 11.2 meters, making it the largest span V-shaped bridge of its kind in Asia and the first double track 180 meter ultra-high V-shaped continuous beam on the entire Guangdong East Intercity Railway. The No. 0 block of the 497 # main pier V-brace continuous beam poured this time is 48 meters long and 22.6 meters high. Due to the large size of the main structure of Block 0 and the overall amount of reinforced concrete work, there are high requirements for the strength of the foundation, the stiffness of the supports, and the integrity and stability of the formwork support system. To ensure the safety and quality of pouring, the construction party, China Railway Fourth Bureau, adopted a batch pouring scheme and completed the pouring in three stages. The pouring this time is for the bottom plate and V-leg straight section of Block 0, which is the first pouring. A total of 1233 cubic meters of concrete were poured. To ensure the smooth completion of the first pouring of Block 0 of the main pier V-brace continuous beam, the construction party started with personnel allocation, mechanical equipment entry, and process conversion, scientifically coordinated and carefully arranged, continuously optimized the construction plan, and conducted research on key technologies for the construction of large-span V-brace continuous beams for intercity railways. During the pouring process, we have dispatched technicians, testers, and safety management specialists to monitor and strictly control various indicators of concrete, concrete vibration, pouring time, and progress throughout the entire process. The Guangdong East Intercity Railway Project is an important component of the "One Ring, One Ray" intercity railway network plan approved by the National Development and Reform Commission for the Guangdong East region. After the completion of the project, the main economic strongholds, densely populated areas, and transportation hubs in the three cities of Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang will be connected in a chain, further opening up the "internal circulation" of regional transportation, and accelerating the smooth "external circulation" through connections with railways such as Shantou High speed Railway, Meishan High speed Railway, Xiamen Shenzhen High speed Railway, Shantou Zhangzhou High speed Railway, and Guang'ao Port Railway. This will achieve convenient exchanges between the eastern Guangdong region and major cities in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Xiamen Zhangzhou Quanzhou, southern Jiangxi, and western Fujian, and accelerate the high-level linkage between the eastern Guangdong region and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
