On the morning of July 3rd, the "Xuelong 2" scientific research icebreaker and the "Polar" icebreaker investigation vessel both made their debut at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Pier in Shandong, holding a one-and-a-half-day public open day event. The Polar is a new generation of ice breaking survey ship designed and built independently by China. "Xuelong 2" is the world's first polar scientific research icebreaker to use bidirectional bow and stern icebreaking technology.
