On the evening of June 20th, the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival Golden Earl Awards Asian Newcomer Unit Awards Ceremony was held in Shanghai. Each major award will be announced one by one. The "Asian Newcomer Award", born at the 7th Shanghai International Film Festival in 2004, marks its 20th year this year. After 20 years of development, the Asian New Talent Unit has continuously explored new film directors from China and other Asian countries and regions, supported the emerging forces of Asian cinema, and promoted the diverse vitality of Asian cinema. The Best Cinematography award was won by Huang Shaohui in the movie "Dwelling Tower". Photographer Huang Shaohui also worked as a cinematographer for another Cantonese film, "Winter Traveler," which was shortlisted for the Asian newcomer segment. He contributed touching visuals in both films. The aesthetics in "Dwelling Tower" amazed the audience who watched the premiere. The Best Cinematography award was won by Huang Shaohui in the movie "Dwelling Tower". "Dwelling Tower" is produced by Shenzhen Haozhi Cultural Media Co., Ltd., directed by Zhang Luoping, and starring Wang Yuxin, Yang Houyao, Chen Yugui, and others. The movie tells the story of Liang Yan's husband who died in an accident, but a series of suspicious events make her feel that her husband is still alive. Under internal and external difficulties, Liang Yan, who is isolated and helpless, begins to seek the truth and self redemption. As one of the 15 international A-class international film festivals in the world, the Shanghai International Film Festival has always had fierce competition in the Asian newcomer segment. In this award-winning list, the Indian film "In the Name of Fire" won two awards: Best Director and Best Actor, and the best actress was the lead actress of the Indian film "The Bird of Strange Feathers", Jaashri. In the previously announced shortlist, Cantonese films "Dwelling Tower" and "Winter Traveler" both received four nominations. The film "Winter Traveler" produced by Shenzhen Niunose Film Industry was nominated for Best Picture, and director Lu Dan was nominated for Best Director. In the film, he played Nadir Fatihe, a young Russian man named Ivan, and also received Best Actress nominations for his roles as the hotel owner, Re Fati Kalimuv. Wang Yi, who played another "Winter Traveler" Xiaoyu, was also nominated for Best Actress.
