The 17th Cross Strait and Hong Kong Macao News Seminar opened on the 15th in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. This seminar is held offline for the first time in 7 years since 2017. Liu Siyang, Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the All China Journalists Association, delivered a speech stating that we are all Chinese people and should come and go frequently, getting closer and closer together. Together, we must firmly protect the common home of the Chinese nation, work together to create the long-term well-being of the Chinese nation, firmly forge a sense of community for the Chinese nation, and firmly realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The seminar will focus on the theme of "The Impact and Response Strategies of New Technologies on the News Industry", and explore topics such as "The Deep Integration and Development of New Technologies and New Media", "The Operation and Development of Media under the Influence of New Technologies", and "The Impact of New Technology Development on News Authenticity". The Cross Strait and Hong Kong Macao News Seminar was jointly initiated by the All China Journalists Association, the Hong Kong News Administration Association, and the Taiwan "China News Society" in 1993. In 1997, the Macao Journalists Association joined. It is the highest level, largest scale, longest lasting, and most rich content news academic conference and news exchange platform in the news industry across the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong and Macao regions.
