On the morning of the 13th local time, Li Qiang arrived at Wellington International Airport by charter flight and began his official visit to New Zealand. New Zealand Health Minister Retty and Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand Wang Xiaolong waited at the airport to welcome them.
Li Qiang stated that although China and New Zealand are far apart, they have a long history of friendly exchanges and know each other well. Over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China Singapore relations have always been at the forefront of China's relations with developed countries. The cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, tourism, science and technology, and humanities has achieved fruitful results, becoming a model of mutual benefit and win-win between countries with different social systems, historical and cultural backgrounds, and development stages.
My visit to New Zealand this time is to continue traditional friendship, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote common development. I look forward to exchanging in-depth views with New Zealand leaders and people from all walks of life on China Singapore relations and issues of common concern, promoting continuous deepening of exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and building an upgraded version of China Singapore comprehensive strategic partnership. I believe that with the joint efforts of both sides, China Singapore relations will surely usher in a better tomorrow, better benefit the people of both countries, and make more contributions to world peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
