In the current era where multiple crises and challenges are intertwined and the world is entering a new period of turbulence and change, the establishment of the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations promotes the world to focus on the topic of dialogue among civilizations, and promotes enhanced communication and harmonious coexistence among different civilizations. It can be said that it is timely and well received. Looking around the world today, human society has once again come to a crossroads in history. With the escalation of geopolitical conflicts and the rise of regional conflicts, the deficits in peace, security, development, and governance continue to increase, posing multiple challenges to human coexistence. Finding the path to civilized and harmonious coexistence has become a major issue facing human society. The resolution of the United Nations General Assembly to establish an International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations fully embodies the core essence of the Global Civilization Initiative. The United Nations General Assembly resolution emphasizes that all achievements in civilization are the common wealth of human society, advocates respect for cultural diversity, highlights the important role of dialogue among civilizations in maintaining world peace, promoting common development, enhancing human well-being, and achieving common progress, and advocates for equal dialogue and mutual respect among different civilizations. These concepts are in line with China's proposition. After the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly resolution, 14 countries participated in the core group of the resolution, and 83 countries participated in the joint signing, fully demonstrating that the Global Civilization Initiative conforms to the trend of the times and meets the needs of the times. The Chinese concept and plan are increasingly becoming an international consensus. Syrian political expert Maher Ihsan believes that the resolution by the United Nations to establish an International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations "reflects that China's global civilization initiative is constantly taking root and transforming into more public goods that serve all humanity.". How to treat different civilizations is related to the progress of human civilization and world peace and development. Civilizations should engage in dialogue and not reject each other; Communicate, don't replace. Only equal and inclusive dialogue and communication among civilizations can eliminate discrimination and prejudice, and enhance understanding and trust. Between different countries, ethnicities, and civilizations, if you understand me and I understand you, the reasoning will become clearer and clearer, and things will become better and better. The Chinese side's proposal to establish an International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations at the United Nations General Assembly is to fully leverage the important role of dialogue among civilizations in eliminating discrimination and prejudice, enhancing understanding and trust, promoting people to people communication, and strengthening unity and cooperation, injecting positive energy into human society to unite and respond to common challenges.
