According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, the selection of the fourth batch of reserve astronauts for China's manned space engineering has recently ended, with a total of 10 reserve astronauts ultimately selected, including 8 space pilots and 2 payload experts (1 payload expert in Hong Kong and 1 payload expert in Macau). In the future, they will enter the Chinese Astronaut Research and Training Center to receive comprehensive and systematic training. The selection of the fourth batch of reserve astronauts for China's manned space program has been fully launched since the second half of 2022, and has gone through three stages: preliminary selection, selection, and selection. During this period, the selection of payload experts for the first time in the Hong Kong and Macao regions received strong support and enthusiastic participation from various sectors and the general public in Hong Kong and Macao. At present, China's astronaut selection and training system is more mature and complete.
