Cultural and Natural Heritage Day falls on the second Saturday of June each year, and June 8th of this year is known as Cultural and Natural Heritage Day in 2024. The establishment of Cultural and Natural Heritage Day fully reflects China's high attention and strategic foresight in protecting cultural heritage, which helps to enhance the awareness of cultural heritage protection in the whole society. This event aims to create a visually and interactive intangible cultural heritage feast through new forms, inspiring the public's love for intangible cultural heritage culture. At that time, there will be two national level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, the lion dance and the qilin dance flash performances, integrating music, dance, and traditional martial arts, creating a spectacular scene. This year's "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" coincides with the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The event organizer specially prepared a colorful and lively non heritage fair city for the public: cloud cake, cotton sculpture, Paper Cuttings, straw painting, Angel Cantonese style moon cake, Hanji Cantonese style Chicken rolls, Lingnan seasonal desserts, Xia's lantern cage, woodcut, Heshi Paper Cuttings, Songgang amber carving, facial mask painting, Yu's kite, Tongyuxing Xie's moxibustion... Many inheritors of district, municipal and provincial intangible heritage projects will show their skills on site. It is reported that at the opening ceremony of the event, the Shenzhen Cultural Heritage Protection Center will sign a cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Youth Palace on-site.
