The Office of the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau organized foreign consuls general in Macau and Hong Kong to visit the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone from the 26th to the 27th, with the participation of consuls general and representatives from 23 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Malaysia, etc. The visiting delegation attended the 2024 Hengqin Shenhe District Global Investment Promotion Conference to gain a deeper understanding of the preferential policies and business environment in the district. They also visited the planning exhibition hall, "second line" management operation area, and cross-border e-commerce live streaming base in the Shenhe District, and had on-site exchanges with the Shenzhen Cooperation District Executive Committee and corporate leaders, experiencing the latest changes and surging vitality of Hengqin firsthand. Liu Xianfa, the special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, stated that the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone is committed to building a high-level open area with Chinese characteristics and demonstrating the advantages of "one country, two systems", and has created a "Hengqin demonstration" that enriches the successful practice of "one country, two systems". I hope that all Consuls General can play a good role as a bridge and encourage domestic enterprises and people from all walks of life to invest, develop, and sightseeing in the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone. The Office of Foreign Affairs is willing to work together with everyone to contribute to the foreign exchange and cooperation between Macao and the Shenzhen Cooperation Area. The representative of the Consular General of the visiting delegation and the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Hong Kong, Saitakanov, delivered a speech stating that the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone, as a vibrant new growth pole in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, is rapidly developing and changing, providing new opportunities for cooperation for countries including Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is willing to actively utilize the unique advantages of the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone and deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as economy, trade, tourism, and culture. The guests expressed that through this visit, they have further deepened their understanding of the development plan, preferential policies, business environment, and cooperation advantages of the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone. They believe that the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone will become a new platform for cooperation between Macao and countries around the world. They are willing to strengthen exchanges with the government, the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone, and the Macao Special Administrative Region government, and jointly go to Hengqin to develop new opportunities.
