The "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Journey to Five Continents" International Tour (Hong Kong Station) series of activities recently opened at Zhuhai College in Hong Kong, showcasing over a hundred works of contemporary Chinese calligraphy and painting professionals. More than 120 guests attended the opening ceremony. Zang Jinsheng, Vice President of Beijing Wuzhou Peace Painting and Calligraphy Academy, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, stating that Hong Kong is a place where Chinese and foreign cultures converge. He hopes that this event will leverage Hong Kong's unique advantages to promote more excellent Chinese painting and calligraphy works to the world and provide a more comprehensive understanding of Chinese painting and calligraphy culture. Li Guoxing, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Meiya Entertainment Information Group, delivered a speech stating that Hong Kong's calligraphy and painting culture integrates the essence of Chinese and foreign art, with distinct traditional Chinese cultural characteristics and a strong international color. He believes that this event will help enhance the international influence and dissemination of Chinese calligraphy and painting art. The Hong Kong Station series of activities also specially planned the "Centenary Ambassador - Liu Jinlin Art Exhibition" and the "Silk Road Buddhist Fate Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition". The former showcases more than 30 flower and bird paintings by former diplomat and calligraphy and painting artist Liu Jinlin, while the latter showcases more than 80 calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and thangka works by Buddhist figures. The International Tour of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting on Five Continents was launched in April 2021 and has been held in Qufu, Shandong, Quanzhou, Fujian, Zhuhai, Macao, Guangdong, and other places, attracting more than 5 million visitors online and offline for observation and exchange. The series of activities at the Hong Kong station of this exhibition are jointly organized by the Beijing Wuzhou Peace Painting and Calligraphy Institute, the Buddhist Culture and Art Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association, the Hong Kong Chinese Culture Promotion and Exchange Association, and Zhonghua Net. It is exclusively hosted by the Beijing Peak Art Center and assisted by Hong Kong Meiya Entertainment Information Group and other units.
