The Talent Development Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 20th that in order to promote the moderate and diversified development of Macao's "1+4" economy, enhance Macao's innovation, competitiveness, and international reputation, and further promote local industrial development and long-term social progress, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government has launched a new talent introduction plan. From May 21 to November 20, 2024, it will accept applications for three types of talents, a total of nine plans, including the high-end talent plan, as well as four outstanding talent plans and four senior professional talent plans related to the big health industry, high-tech industry, modern financial industry, culture and sports, and other industries. It is understood that the first phase of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government's talent introduction plan has ended in the first quarter of 2024, with a total of 1107 valid applications. As of April 30th, 387 people have been included in the list of recommended talents for introduction, including 22 high-end talents, 83 outstanding talents, and 282 senior professional talents. In order to attract more talents who can promote and meet the social development of Macau, the new talent introduction plan has optimized the application conditions and scoring items. At the same time, in response to social needs, the professional scope and corresponding scarce professional positions have been optimized to promote high-quality development of Macau's industry. In addition, the Advanced Professional Talent Program also attracts top bachelor's graduates from world-class universities and Macau universities studying in "1+4" industry related disciplines, providing the necessary productivity for Macau's diversified development moderately.
