Standardizing Social Affairs on Campus in Guangdong

In order to effectively reduce the non educational teaching burden on primary and secondary school teachers, the Office of the Education Work Leading Group of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee recently issued a special rectification work notice (hereinafter referred to as the "notice"), combining with the actual situation in Guangdong, making specific arrangements to standardize social affairs on campus, reduce the burden on primary and secondary school teachers, and create a full process supervision loop. Notification requirements: The system shall sort out the relevant situation and policy basis of social affairs entering the campus, and formulate the admission standards for social affairs entering the campus; Establish a sound system for the approval and reporting of social affairs on campus, a whitelist system, and strictly control the total amount of social affairs on campus; Clarify and standardize the management of social affairs processes on campus, and improve the quality of campus activities; Carry out full process supervision, establish and improve long-term mechanisms, and normalize the entry of social affairs into campus work. Guangdong will establish complaint and reporting hotlines and email addresses at different levels, forming a whitelist of social affairs at the provincial, municipal, and county levels on campus and making it public to the public, clarifying mechanisms for monitoring, reporting, and verification. The Office of the Leading Group for Education Work of the Provincial Party Committee will carry out regular open inspections and secret visits with relevant departments, and report and expose areas where work implementation is not effective, effectively reducing the non educational teaching burden on primary and secondary school teachers, and allowing them to concentrate, calm, and comfortable in teaching. The notice clearly states that we must continue to deepen and implement the special rectification work, adhere to the unity of reducing teacher burden and improving the quality and efficiency of education and teaching, combine the special rectification action with promoting high-quality development of basic education, and test the effectiveness of the special rectification with the satisfaction of teachers and students.
