On May 15th, a seminar on data compliance and high-quality development of digital prosecution, guided by the Digital Prosecutors Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and organized by the Digital Prosecutors special issue of the Procuratorial Daily, was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The attendees had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the basic theory of data rule of law, the latest developments in digital prosecution, data compliance governance models, and how to build a data compliance and digital prosecution supervision system that adapts to the development of the digital economy. Participants generally believe that data, as a new type of production factor, is an important source of value creation. However, in the context of the rapid development of the digital economy, issues such as data leakage and abuse affect privacy protection, industrial development, and even national security. The procuratorial organs should face new problems and challenges directly, accelerate their participation in the construction of data property rights system, improve the construction of data basic system, create an integrated governance plan for data compliance, and create a good development environment. In the roundtable discussion, representatives from different fields such as universities, procuratorial organs, administrative organs, and technology enterprises, based on their own business work, elaborated on how to better stimulate the vitality of data elements and cultivate a new ecosystem of data industry from the aspects of efficient data circulation and security governance. They also provided suggestions and suggestions on how procuratorial organs can better carry out digital procuratorial work and effectively participate in the construction of data compliance systems. The relevant person in charge of the Digital Prosecutors Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, experts and scholars from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Shenzhen Data Exchange, China (Wenzhou) Shu'an Port and other units attended the meeting and exchanged experiences. Representatives from procuratorial organs in Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei, Shanghai and other places exchanged practical experiences. (Lai Xin She)
