As the temperature continues to rise, groups of finless porpoises appear near the downstream of the Gezhouba Dam in Yichang, Yangtze River. They sometimes dive together, and sometimes jump out of the water alone. They are cute and adorable. In recent years, the local government has implemented systematic ecological restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grasslands, and sands, promoted the construction of a number of ecological projects such as protective forests, returning farmland to forests, fishing bans, shoreline greening, and wetland protection. As a result, the number of Yangtze River finless porpoises has stopped falling and rebounded. (Lai Xin She)
