Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a radio frequency usage license and a space radio station license to Tsinghua University for the 01 satellite of the Smart Sky Network, supporting Tsinghua University in carrying out the verification of broadband communication satellite technology for the medium orbit pan synchronous orbit. The Smart Tianwang 01 satellite is China's first medium orbit broadband communication test satellite, which uses multiple frequency bands of radio frequencies. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has organized and completed the coordination work of relevant frequencies in accordance with regulations and issued licenses in accordance with the law, providing radio frequency resource support for Tsinghua University to carry out multiple new technology verifications such as direct connection of scientific research data between domestic and Antarctic scientific research stations, and data transmission between medium orbit and high and low orbit satellites. Next, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on the development of satellite industry and technology, guide relevant satellite operation units to use satellite radio frequencies reasonably, carry out frequency coordination in an orderly manner, and ensure the frequency usage needs of space-based networks.
