This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, as well as the Sino French Cultural Tourism Year. On April 1st, the 18th "Sino French Cultural Spring" officially kicked off in Beijing. French Foreign Minister Stefana C é journe attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Ambassador Yang Ziqiong and Jean Todd appeared at the opening ceremony and jointly cut the ribbon for the event. The 18th "Sino French Cultural Spring" related cultural activities will continue until December, landing in multiple cities across the country, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Kunming, Chengdu, Shenyang, etc., covering multiple fields such as visual art, craft design, stage art, music, film, digital technology, and books. It is worth mentioning that this year's "Spring of Sino French Culture" was grandly opened by the large-scale exhibition "Palace of Versailles and the Forbidden City: Sino French Communication in the 17th and 18th Centuries". The exhibition gathers cultural relics and artistic treasures collected by two iconic institutions, the Palace Museum of Versailles and the Forbidden City, witnessing the long history and rich content of cultural exchanges between the two countries. The Spring of Chinese and French Culture was founded in 2006. As the first foreign art festival in China and the most important French art festival outside of France, it has always adhered to the original intention of cross-border art, promoted exchanges between art institutions and artists in China and France, and enhanced friendship and understanding of each other's cultures between the two peoples.
