The world's first hydrogen energy city train successfully achieved speed test run

2024-03-21

On the morning of March 21st, the world's first hydrogen energy city train conducted a full load operation test at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour on the CRRC Changke test line, achieving full system, full scenario, and multi-level performance verification, marking a new breakthrough in the application of hydrogen energy in the field of rail transit. This train is independently developed by CRRC Changke and is equipped with a hydrogen energy power system. It adopts a distributed hybrid energy supply scheme with multiple energy storage and hydrogen energy systems, and also adopts a hydrogen electric hybrid energy management strategy and control system independently developed by CRRC Changke. During the test on that day, the train ran at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, and the actual average energy consumption per kilometer was only 5 kilowatt hours, with a maximum range of over 1000 kilometers.
