The reporter learned from the Emergency Management Department of Guangdong Province that in 2023, Guangdong Province will encounter natural disasters such as rainstorm and flood, typhoon, landslide and low temperature freezing. It has experienced 30 rounds of heavy rainfall, and six typhoons landed or affected it. Some areas will be affected to varying degrees, and the production and living order of the people will be seriously affected. According to statistics, a total of 286 households in the province have been completely displaced due to disasters, and 226 households have suffered severe losses due to disasters. Faced with the severe disaster situation, the Guangdong Provincial Disaster Reduction Office and the Provincial Emergency Management Department have resolutely and conscientiously implemented the work deployment of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Government, always adhering to the principle of putting people first and life first, and making the repair and reconstruction of damaged houses the top priority of post disaster recovery and reconstruction. Together with the Provincial Department of Finance, they have arranged a total of 370 million yuan of central and provincial disaster relief funds for the living assistance, reconstruction of collapsed houses, winter and spring assistance of disaster stricken people, Coordinate and organize relevant departments in various regions, conduct disaster investigation at the grassroots level, establish a hierarchical and classified ledger, and do not leave any households or individuals behind. We will do our best to help the affected people rebuild their homes and ensure that they move into new homes before the Spring Festival and spend the winter safely and warmly.
