Yang Xiaofeng is the Vice Dean of Nanfan College (Sanya Nanfan Research Institute) at Hainan University, and also a "Doctor" village chief in Chengxi Village, Yazhou, Sanya. Since 2022, he has led a doctoral team to support the establishment of a 78 acre demonstration base for high-quality cowpea, cucumber, and eggplant cultivation in Chengxi Village, based on the existing basic conditions of Chengxi Village and relying on the advantages of Nanfan Technology, expanding the channels for farmers to increase their income. In recent years, relying on the gathering advantages of agricultural research talents in the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City of Sanya, Hainan, Yazhou District of Sanya City has hired over a hundred doctoral talents from institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, the Chinese Agricultural University, and Hainan University, forming 17 "doctoral village chief" work teams.
