The 2023 Annual Conference of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank opens in Morocco

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank's 2023 annual meeting opened on October 9 in the southern city of Marrakesh, Morocco. This is the first time in 50 years that the annual conference has returned to Africa after being held in Nairobi, Kenya in 1973, and it is expected to pay greater attention to the development and challenges of the African region.
