On October 8th local time, in the 2023 Chicago Marathon, Kevin Kiputum from Kenya completed the race in 2 hours, 0 minutes, and 35 seconds, setting a new world record for the men's marathon. At the age of 23, Kiputum became the first marathon athlete in history to break through 2 hours and 01 minutes in a formal race. (New News Agency)
