According to the Information Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Shenzhen Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone Authority (Qianhai Authority) signed a letter of intent on August 31 to further promote communication and cooperation between construction and engineering enterprises and professionals in the two regions, and work together to promote high-quality construction in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The Hong Kong Development Authority and the Qianhai Authority have signed a letter of intent for cooperation. The letter of intent from the Information Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government was signed by the Permanent Secretary for Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (Works), Liu Junjie, and the Deputy Director of the Qianhai Authority, Xie Hui hui. At the signing ceremony, Liu Junjie stated that Hong Kong and Qianhai are the core engines driving the development of the Greater Bay Area. They maintain close cooperation in different fields and work together to make the Greater Bay Area an internationally renowned bay area, contributing to national development. At present, Hong Kong construction and engineering enterprises and professionals can obtain corresponding qualifications in mainland China through a simple filing system to provide services in Qianhai. At the beginning of this year, Qianhai had launched a construction project, and Hong Kong architects and quantity measurement consulting firms successfully won relevant consulting service contracts, witnessing the successful implementation of the filing system. The letter of intent encourages the establishment of a project database in Qianhai to help Hong Kong enterprises better grasp the latest information on the development of the Qianhai Cooperation Zone, and promotes the establishment of a normalized mechanism for personnel exchange between the two regions, helping Qianhai establish a construction management system that is in line with international standards.
