The National Immigration Administration has focused on the issue of "urgent difficulties and anxieties" for entry-exit personnel and introduced 102 measures to facilitate and benefit the people. Restoring the "National Pass" policy for mainland residents to travel to Hong Kong and Macao for team tourism, and implementing the "National Pass" policy for mainland residents to visit, work, and study in Hong Kong and Macao, more than 1.86 million mainland residents have enjoyed convenience. In response to the failure of Hong Kong and Macao residents to timely handle the renewal procedures for their travel permits to and from the mainland due to the epidemic, a new policy of extension has been introduced. As of now, more than 2.7 million Hong Kong and Macao residents have successfully completed customs clearance with extension certificates, and more than 5.96 million people have enjoyed convenient identity verification services. The National Immigration Administration has upgraded border inspection and clearance facilities to meet the convenient customs clearance needs of the people while ensuring border security. In the first half of the year, the national immigration management agency inspected 168 million entry-exit personnel and 9.831 million transportation vehicles (ships, trains, and vehicles), with a year-on-year increase of 169.6% and 119.2%, respectively.
