Survey on the layout of Charging station: "one is hard to find" and "zombie piles" exist
2023-06-21
At dawn, the traffic on China National Highway 108 was sparse. Zhang Ru's family had been sitting in the newly bought electric vehicle for more than an hour. Zhang Ru is going to drive from Chengdu to her hometown in northern Sichuan. Although she has done her homework in advance, her "Range anxiety" on the return road has exceeded her expectations. After getting off the expressway, the Charging station marked on the map either does not exist or is surrounded and cannot be used. After several times of tossing and turning, I found a usable Charging station before the car ran out of electricity. A reporter from Shanghai Securities Journal recently visited villages, expressways, old communities and other different charging scenarios, and found that there are pain points and difficulties in domestic charging infrastructure construction, such as small amount, uneven distribution, high use price, and poor profitability. Electric vehicle users, relevant enterprises and experts in the industry call for supplementing the weak points and eliminating "Range anxiety", speeding up the construction of charging facilities, so that the development of electric vehicles, an emerging industry, can be accelerated again. It is worth noting that the issue of difficult charging mentioned above has attracted the attention of policy making departments. On June 19th, the General Office of the State Council issued the "Guiding Opinions on Further Building a High Quality Charging Infrastructure System", proposing that by 2030, a high-quality charging infrastructure system with extensive coverage, moderate scale, reasonable structure, and complete functions should be basically completed. The tram is easy to use and charging is not easy. "The Charging station outside is inconvenient and expensive to drive to charge," Mr. Ni, who lives in Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, told reporters. In Jiangnan water town, where the road network is developed, Mr. Ni, who drives electric vehicles to deal with daily commuting, chose to charge at home. For this reason, he applied for a Charging station meter to open peak valley electricity. From 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., the price of valley electricity is 0.39 yuan per kilowatt hour, and 0.59 yuan per kilowatt hour for the rest of the time. The price of the outside Charging station is about 1.1 yuan per kilowatt hour. Most of the Xiuzhou District where Mr. Ni lives is a suburb of Jiaxing, with a large area and relatively few charging facilities. His home is 2km away from the Charging station in the town, which is relatively close. The Charging station in the town is a DC fast charging, which can be fully charged in half an hour; At home, there is AC slow charging, which takes 6 to 8 hours to fully charge. Mr. Ni admitted that due to factors such as distance and electricity price, external fast charging is usually only used when there is not enough electricity before long-distance travel. "Compared with fuel cars, trams are faster, cheaper, and have a good use experience. It is recommended that the public Charging station be increased and the price be cheaper," Mr. Ni said. In addition to the difficulty of charging in rural areas, the "Range anxiety" of electric vehicles is common among users in different use scenarios. The difficulty of charging in high-speed service areas for electric vehicles has become a concern for many long-distance electric vehicle users. An electric vehicle user who drove from Shenzhen, Guangdong to his hometown in Hunan told reporters that the originally over 8 hour journey took 16 hours. Among them, it took more than 5 hours to charge in the service area of Leiyang, Hunan Province, and it only took 4 hours to queue up. 'One pile is hard to find' has become a common phenomenon during peak hours of high-speed travel. In multiple service areas visited by reporters, charging stations generally have more cars and fewer piles. In addition, many electric vehicles take more than half an hour to fully charge, making the waiting time for car owners longer and causing various conflicts, such as urgent energy replenishment
