Recently, villagers in Gypsum Well Village, Tongxin Town, Ning'er County, Yunnan Province discovered an insect resembling a white flower while picking edible white flowers. The person in charge of the Forestry and Grassland Service Center in Tongxin Town stated that after identification, the insect is actually an orchid mantis in the family Anthidae of the Insect Class. It is known as the "master of disguise" in nature because it can trap prey by disguised as flowers. This is the first time that an orchid mantis has been discovered in Ning'er County.
