2023-04-07

On April 6, 2023, the first full cargo flight route from Hangzhou to Denmark was opened and operated at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, marking the first time that Maersk has opened regular cargo flights in China. With Maersk Cargo Airlines opening two intercontinental regular full cargo routes, Hangzhou Billon (Denmark) and Hangzhou Chicago, at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport has not only become the first airport for Maersk to operate regular cargo flights in China, but also the largest transportation point for Maersk in China. After the opening of two new freight routes, the number of international all cargo aircraft destinations at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport has increased to 20. The opening of new routes has further enhanced the cargo transfer and distribution capacity of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to Europe and America, achieving high-density air cargo connectivity between Zhejiang and even East China, the two major manufacturing and commercial centers on the east coast of the United States, as well as the Nordic region. This has helped promote the construction of the Hangzhou area of the Zhejiang Free Trade Zone and a new round of high-level opening up, which is conducive to the construction of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport's international air cargo hub, Create a better environment for foreign investment.
